Scoliosis is difficult to detect in its early stages. Why? Once in the developing stage, it is difficult to confirm with the naked eye.

It is often found after some time when the spine is bent exceeding 20 degrees on Cobb’s angle. 

When symptoms in the lower back are discovered and evaluated, scoliosis of roughly 20 degrees is usually diagnosed.

It is standard practice in conventional medicine to examine the patient's health and assess progress six months later.

After six months of waiting for the evaluation, the golden period for scoliosis therapy has come to an end.

What exactly is Scoliosis?

When viewed from the front, the spine, which should be straight, is curved into a C or S shape, and the vertebrae are rotated and distorted, which is known as scoliosis.


Symptoms of Scoliosis  


    Asymmetry of left and right shoulder height

    One side of the back sticks out

    Asymmetry of the pelvis and waist

    Slow development of one breast

    Body slants to one side









 





Diagnosis of Scoliosis 

Scoliosis usually appears at the age of ten, is more severe in girls, and persists throughout development.
When the spine is bent, the angle worsens as you get taller during the development period.
Accurate screening at the outset should focus on preventing malignant scoliosis curvature of 30 to 40 degrees or greater.

Step 1
 Less than 10 degrees :  Begin scoliosis treatment, including exercise therapy as soon as it is discovered. 
Step 2~3
Less than 30 degrees : Begin tailored treatment for each condition using exercise therapy, manual therapy, and specialist therapy. 
Step 4
40 degrees or higher :  Surgical treatment is undertaken if the patient wishes to have one. If the patient does not have heart or lung failure and does not desire surgery, exercise treatment is begun to correct the appearance and avoid deterioration. 

Treatment of Scoliosis

To prevent exacerbation and improve the current condition, the program prescribes and treats specialized manual therapy, 3D prescription exercise and treatment, and special mechanical therapy based on the patient's Cobb's angle, the presence or absence of spine rotation, the presence or absence of following pelvic rotation and tilt, the presence or absence of dysfunction, the degree of external distortion, and evaluation result of exercise ability and joint range of motion.
